First of all a big thank-you for helping make this year a success! We have managed to stop the suffering of hundreds of animals this year (and received calls and emails from thousands more) by helping pay for emergency veterinary care, and we couldn’t begin to do it without your help!
As you know so often animals are the only “family” people have. Here’s an example of a recent thank-you email we received:
“God Bless you and your organization and for caring about me and my dog, she is all I have. If I didn't have her, then some days, with my MS, I wouldn't even want to get up. I don't have any kids, so she is it.”
We made tremendous strides in 2016 and have big plans for 2017. We have some great events planned, new organizations we hope to partner with and a strong board to help us move forward and continue making a difference in the lives of people and their pets.
Have a wonderful New Year and let’s make 2017 the year we help even more animals. As Gandhi said “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” Thank you for the suffering, one animal at a time!
All my best,
Shakespeare Animal Fund
