By Jennifer Webb, Founder, Shakespeare Animal Fund
Need a project to keep children entertained this summer? Instead of endless summer movies and video games, how about encouraging kids to do something that will help the community and teach them responsibility at the same time? They can create their own mini-fundraiser to support Shakespeare Animal Fund’s Project Heart and Hope, an ongoing fundraiser that will culminate in a November gala where those who have participated will be honored. Shakespeare’s website will feature every mini-fundraiser that is created and during the November Project Heart and Hope gala, a special winner will be honored for most creative event.
Ideas for fundraisers include selling lemonade and/or cookies, sponsoring a car wash or garage sale, having a play or music event, staging a dog wash or any other idea that offers opportunities for the community to support a child’s creativity.
