Local Artists rally for Shakespeare Animal Fund Art Walk, Wine Walk & more…

Reno, NV-Art Indeed Gallery at 142 Bell Street in Reno is creating an art extravaganza beginning with a reception September 2, an Art Walk September 7 and a Wine Walk September 16, all to support Reno/Spark’s local animal non-profit, Shakespeare Animal Fund. Supported by the talent of extraordinary local artists, come to the reception from 2 to 5 pm on September 2and mark your calendars for the spectacular Art Walk September 7 from 4-8:30 and Wine Walk September 16 from 2-5, both at the gallery.

All proceeds benefit Shakespeare, the local 501(c) (3) founded to help pay emergency veterinary bills for elderly, disabled and other low-income individuals who have dying or suffering pets. The organization gets at least 500 calls and emails per month, and to date has raised more than $500,000 to help animals, but the need is always greater than the resources.

Every day Shakespeare stops the suffering; a cat with a broken jaw, a puppy hit by a car and hundreds of other injuries. There are also so many “thank you’s” and so many happy endings. Jeri M. wrote: “Thank you so much for helping me with my baby Bayle. He was in so much pain and just pitiful…I can't thank you enough.”

Donations Save Lives

One of the hundreds of emails we receive asking for help...
My 10 year old female Australian shepherd/goldenretriever that I've had since she was 6 weeks old,
needs help. Bella has a growth at the top base of
her tail that the doctor needs to amputate. The costwill be between $800-$1060, with a biopsy to
test the growth. I'm sick with fear, the loss of her
tail, and worst case, possibly losing her. She came to me when I was diagnosed with MS, she was
"my rescue", she saved me, now I need to help her.

Make a Donation:
We can easily pay $5 for a fancy cup of coffee
these days. And if you would consider giving
only $5 a month (the price of that cup of coffee)
over the course of a year it would get one wounded or suffering animal to the vet.
That’s spectacular, for only $5 monthly.
