Reno, NV June 2014 —Petsmart, Inc. has donated $5,000 to the Shakespeare Animal Fund, a local 501 © 3 non-profit founded to pay emergency veterinarian bills for elderly, disabled, returning vets and others who need help when their animals are suffering or dying.
Founded in Reno in 2004, Shakespeare has donated more than $300,000 to help individuals and their animals within the community, offering a crisis hotline to help intervene and get suffering animals to veterinarians.
“We are thrilled with the generous donation from PetSmart,” said Jennifer Webb, Executive Director of Shakespeare Animal Fund. “Shakespeare prides itself in happy endings, saving hundreds of animals each year and enriching the lives of those whose animals are often the only families they have. This donation helps us save more animals and multiply our happy endings.”
We can easily pay $5 for a fancy cup of coffee these days. If you would consider giving only $5 a month (the price of that cup of coffee) over the course of a year it would get one wounded or suffering animal to the vet. That’s spectacular, for only $5 monthly. Sign up for regular donations using the form below
